The IET is fully committed to promoting the safety and wellbeing of children and adults at risk.

Policy for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults

Our policy outlines the legislation, principles and values that inform the practice of members, staff and contractors who work with children or adults at risk in the course of performing duties or services on behalf of the IET. The welfare of the child is paramount.

This policy is operated in conjunction with the London Child Protection procedures (2007), Working Together to Safeguard Children (2006). Refer to “Further Guidance” towards the end of this policy for additional documents that inform safeguarding children and child protections systems and practice.
